Good menu choices. I ordered Fish & Chips with White Cheddar Grits. My wife ordered Steak Tips with White Cheddar Grits and Sweet Potato Fries. My daughter ordered Salmon Steak with French Fries and Mashed Potatoes. My son ordered Steak Tips with French Fries and Sweet Potato Fries. The service was good. Food came out in a relatively short time considering the number of full tables. Cheese Grits needed salt, but otherwise, they were tasty. The Salmon Steak was served on a bed of Lemon Cream Sauce that gave the fish that extra flavor. The Fish & Chips was a large serving. Overall, it was a great experience. This location is highly recommended!

The food is very flavorful and fresh. Everybody in my party was happy with their order. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes with remoulade sauce. Artichoke chicken in cream sauce was excellent and portion was very generous. I liked that there were plenty of vegetable options to go with entrees and sandwiches—like fresh green beans and delicious coleslaw. The sweet potato fries I sampled from my son’s plate were top notch. Lemon cream cake was the bomb and I’m told the chocolate cake was great too. Our server was very attentive and brought out drink refills without being asked.

We came here to eat dinner and sat outside. It was very enjoyable. The staff were friendly lots of locals coming in to eat. We ordered the fried green tomatoes goat cheese. They were delicious and full of flavor. The chiken sandwich, meatloaf sandwich, and artichoke chiken with max and cheese and collards were also good as well. Overall, loved the black cow!

Driving through town and found this place the night before Mother’s Day. The wait everywhere was insane so we decided to stay. The food ended up being delicious. We got chicken fingers, a burger, the pork chops, and fried green beans. Our waitress was super nice and helpful.

Chicken and waffles are delicious. The pork chop with gravy is the best I've had other than my mom's. The portions were large enough for my husband and I to try each other's entrees while still having leftovers. The building is old, but it wasn't terribly loud despite nearly every seat being taken during the lunch rush. Country music was playing, but wasn't so loud you couldn't enjoy a conversation. The service was excellent. Despite being busy, the servers were pleasant and kept on top of orders and refills. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would say it may not be the best place for group get-togethers, but for a couple or group of four, absolutely recommend.

This was a pleasant surprise on our visit to Columbus. We were looking for a place to eat and found this gem. The food was absolutely delicious, the taste was on point. My wife and son got a burger with some jelly that was, to my surprise, quite tasty. It was made different, cheese that we had not tried before. My steak was made the way I wanted it. The wings were full of flavor and crunchy, but not dry.

The Black Cow Restaurant offers an American and Southern menu. It is a favorite spot of the local lunch crowd. I went in to try one of their most popular burgers: The Bacon Pimento Cheeseburger. A toasted bun with jalapeno pepper jelly. The jelly provides a perfect touch of spiciness and sweetness without overpowering the juicy beef patty covered with housemade pimento cheese and chopped bacon. The burger is served with Crinkle-cut French Fries cooked to perfection: salty and crispy on the outside, and mashed-potato soft on the inside. I give it 5 Stars.
